Every CleverLoop outdoor camera comes with its own mount for attaching to walls or surfaces. This includes horizontal and vertical surfaces as well as ceilings.


We recommending using four screws to mount them. Each camera can then be angled in a variety of different positions depending on your need. The camera has 3 joints that can be adjusted so you can get it pointing the right direction:


- Base swivel to rotate camera (loosen a single screw to adjust). This is nearest the foot of the camera mount.

- Elbow joint to adjust up and down (single screw).

- Camera rotate joint (loosen 2 screws to adjust this). 


Changing each of these gives a huge amount of flexibility for camera direction and will probably the required camera direction. It's also possible to change the alignment of the mount to the wall if needed.


If mounting to a ceiling or up under a soffit, then it's sometimes best to mount the camera so it is upside down i.e. so the antenna points towards the ground. This is the best way if the antenna would otherwise be forced up hard into the eave or soffit. If doing this, then you'd flip and mirror the image so when viewed it is the correct way up. This is done in the settings section of each camera on the CleverLoop app on your smartphone..


Keep in mind the outdoor cameras are fully weatherproof and rated IP66. This means they are fully protected from dust and strong jets of water from all directions!

If you aren't confident about mounting any of your cameras yourself them we advise to you check to see if there is a CleverLoop installer in your area, and if not, talk to a suitable person (tradesman, handyman etc.) about helping you.

If you are fixing the outdoor camera into a wooden surface, then you can just use the screws provided. If you are fixing to stone/brickwork/concrete, or to plasterboard/dry wall, then you need to use the supplied expanding wall plugs. The following video demonstrates how to use similar plugs.
